All participants rest, sleep, and stay in the same haima camps, which replicate the lifestyle of the nomadic peoples of the Moroccan desert.

You’ll need to be there at least one day before the race starts.

HOW DO I GET THERE?

There are two ways to travel to Morocco: by your own means or with the flights offered by the organization.

CHARTER FLIGHTS:

This service is offered by the organization and must be contracted once it is on sale.

There are two existing routes, one from Barcelona and the other from Madrid. Both flights depart the day before the race begins and return from Morocco the day after it ends.

The participants who book the charter flight have the transfer between the airport and the Titan camp included for both the outward and the return.

BY YOUR OWN MEANS

You can make your own way to the race’s starting point. The race route changes every year, but the airports closest to the starting point are usually Er Rachidia and Ouarzazate. Marrakech Airport also offers many international flights.

For the end of the race, the closest airport will be Er Rachidia.

In case you need a transfer to the Titan Camp, you can hire it through the organization. To do so, please contact info@skodatitandesertmorocco.com.

You will be able to arrive at the Titan camp from the beginning of the verification process, which will take place from 10h to 16h approximately.

Transporting the bicycle

There are two options for transporting your bike: 1) on trucks of the organization that leave a few days before the race, or 2) you take the bike to the start by your own means.

The bikes are transported in trucks by road a few days before the race; this service does not have an additional cost. The bikes will be collected in Barcelona and loaded onto the trucks for the trip to Morocco.

If you choose option 1, you need to hand over your bike in our warehouse in Barcelona on certain dates. You have four options to get your bike to us:

FIRST OPTION: hand over the bike personally

SECOND OPTION: hand over the bike via the contracted service (check the online shop)

THIRD OPTION: send the bike by the courier service of the national and international organization

FOURTH OPTION: send the bike by your own courier service (in this case you will need to manage the reception of the official packaging with the organization).

The race combines different types of terrain. Most of the tracks are in good condition. There are some sections of soft ground when crossing some dry riverbeds and some sections of trail.

Yes, but only when they are 100% validated. They are published two weeks before the start of the event, after the final checks and adjustments. The organization notifies participants as soon as they are available.

The race must be completed exclusively on the track. Although there may be occasional reference points for safety reasons, the regulations require following the official track with your GPS.

Yes. Each stage has official aid stations offering water and food. The exact locations are listed in the stage profile and during the daily briefing, but as a general rule, they are located less than 40 kilometers apart.

A mountain bike is ideal; we recommend a full-suspension model for greater comfort. Gravel bikes are allowed but are not ideal for this type of route.

Not in the general category. It is only allowed within the ebike program.

There may be some stages where cut-off times are established to improve the safety of participants. These will be communicated in the briefing prior to the stage.

Yeah. When a stage does not start or finish at the hotel, the organization provides official transfers.
