1
BOUMALNE DADES – BOUMALNE DADES
Km: 98 km
Elevation Gain 2.175 m
Dificult:
We are now in the big mountain stage and the first of this edition’s loop routes.
The peloton will set off along a mountain track to tackle a stretch of asphalt that leads to a long climb through the Atlas Mountains.
After a few kilometers uphill, a technical descent will take them to the N’goum river crossing. From this point, they will tackle another uphill section, this time on a track in very good condition, which ends in a stretch of paved road. From there, they will ride through a narrow canyon that normally carries water, a technical and very spectacular section that ends between several houses.
The Titans will continue downhill to the town of Boutharar, where they will encounter the 4.5 km Škoda Challenge: a climb of almost 400 meters with sections of up to 15% gradient. At the top, the descent will turn south.
The next few kilometers will be through a palm grove with a continuous succession of crossroads and small bridges over water channels. The last section is on wide tracks in good condition until the finish line.
2
Boumalne Dades – Battou
Km: 105 km
Elevation gain 1550 m
Dificult:
Classic stage in Morocco’s Saghro region.
The peloton will leave the hotel with a short neutralized section and immediately take tracks in very good condition, always on a slight climb, which will gain elevation as the kilometers progress.
From there, they will reach the town of Iknoiun, where the track improves even more and changes direction. The stage continues and the most important climb of the day arrives.
For several kilometers, the Titans will ride on a track in very good condition, which they will leave behind to tackle a long and spectacular descent to a riverbed that runs through a long canyon. A narrow and rocky section with views of all the mountains surrounding them.
Once in the canyon, the peloton will ride a few kilometers on asphalt until they reach the final track that leads to the first real camp of this edition of the 2026 Škoda Titan Desert Morocco.
3
Battou – Sidi Ali
Km: 98 km
Elevation gain 352 m
Dificult:
First sector of the marathon stage, in which cyclists will have to be self-sufficient and complete the two sectors without any external assistance.
The stage starts on a very rocky side track until it reaches a local road. A few kilometers of asphalt will take the Titans to a long, wide, well-marked track that will lead them into the pure desert of long straights and tracks with hardly any slope.
The route continues and reaches the shores of a salt lake, which is crossed diagonally before reaching an asphalt road that will be ridden on for a few meters.
The last section is probably the hardest part of the day, a soft area in a small palm grove that ends just in front of the marathon stage camp. A unique experience of coexistence and self-sufficiency for all the Titans.
4
Sidi Ali – Merzouga
Km: 123 km
Elevation gain 804 m
Dificult
This is the second sector of the marathon stage and surely the queen stage of this Škoda Titan Desert Morocco. The route is also a classic desert raid, one of those rally races that are so common in the area.
The stage begins with a few fast kilometers on a well-marked, wide track that will take the peloton to the banks of the Oued Gherist. The crossing of this dry riverbed will not be easy. It follows a very sinuous route that always seeks the most comfortable passage until it reaches the village of Ramlia.
From Ramlia, the route changes direction and heads north to cross an enormous chott (dry lake) that will leave the Titans on the outskirts of the village of Ouzina, another classic in the area.
From there, the route follows a track that is very sandy at first, but then changes to become more stony. On this terrain, there is a tough climb and two technical descents.
After this point and until the finish line, the track improves to become a fast and clean route. Without a doubt, this is the biggest challenge this year and a completely new route in the history of the race.
5
Merzouga – Merzouga
Km: 87 km
Elevation gain 606 m
Dificult:
The classic dune stage in the Merzouga area, although with the novelty of the return to Erg Znigue instead of Erg Chebbi, which is much more common in the race.
The route is divided into two very different parts and will include a navigation section (in which the riders will not have a marked route) of about 20 kilometers.
The race starts on secondary tracks, alongside irrigation canals in a farming area. The terrain improves until it reaches the foot of the dune pass. The pass is just under 3 kilometers long until it reaches the top of a high dune, from which a descent begins towards the starting point of the cordon. The peloton then rides through a somewhat sandy area until it reaches the end of the navigation sector.
The second part of the stage runs along somewhat soft tracks, but these become harder as the kilometers progress until reaching the finish line at the same starting point as in the morning.
6
MERZOUGA – MAADID
Km: 74 km
Elevation gain: 609 m
Dificult:
The 2026 Škoda Titan Desert Morocco comes to an end with a route that includes an unprecedented and rarely used part of the Moroccan desert.
The day starts off fast, on wide, well-maintained tracks that head north until they reach the banks of a large oued. From this point on, the terrain becomes slower and much rockier.
At one point, the peloton will leave the main track and tackle a large, very rocky climb that will lead to a descent that is unprecedented in the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco. A trail that will descend back down to the valley through which the Titans came.
From this point on, fast tracks, riverbeds, a small palm grove, and some soft terrain will alternate until we reach the classic finish line in Maadid.
