We break our record for female participation
10 de April de 2025Škoda Titan Desert Morocco will break its record for female participation in the two-decade history of the race.
At least 71 female adventurers will take the start of the race in May. This is two more than the previous record of 69 achieved in 2018.
Moreover, taking into account that the peloton of the race will be around 500 cyclists, the percentage of female participation will also be the highest in history: around 14%. In other words, one out of every seven participants will be a woman.
Encouraging female participation and giving more visibility to Titanas was one of the main objectives of the race in its twentieth edition.
To this end, the SheTitan project was created, with initiatives that contribute to achieving this objective, such as a specific training plan, an ambassador program and giving visibility to the women’s teams.
Among the several teams formed exclusively by women there are two that stand out above the rest: Moove Foundation, which will raise funds for access to education for Moroccan women, and the Škoda RACC HolaBICI team. This last one was created with the aim of promoting women’s participation in cycling, encouraging an active and healthy lifestyle. An objective that will materialize this year by turning the six participants into Titanas.

#one100women
But under the arm of SheTitan also came a goal on the horizon: the #one100women. To get 100 women to be part of the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco peloton.
The 2025 edition will not be the edition of the 100 Titanas, but the foundations are laid to continue growing and developing this idea that seeks to make the race a more inclusive space and that the peloton becomes more and more equal in its presence of men and women.
So far, the goal that has been achieved is high, to be able to say that the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco 2025 will be the most female in history.
