Mountains and surprises

3 de December de 2025

2026 Škoda Titan Desert Morocco, which will take place from April 26th to May 1st, has been presented today at Casa Árabe in Madrid. The event was attended by the protagonists of the race, who revealed the new features of an edition that will stand out above all for its mountainous terrain and unprecedented stages.

While the last Škoda Titan Desert Morocco marked the 20th anniversary of the event and was full of nods to the early years and tributes to pioneers, the 2026 edition will stand out for its surprises, despite already having more than two decades of history behind it.

In 2025, the route rode through desert and dunes. In 2026, the peloton returns to the Atlas Mountains and regains the leg-breaking terrain. There will be six stages, about 590 kilometers and more than 6,000 meters of accumulated elevation gain.

All this, of course, with the usual elements that make this race unique: the single camp for all the Titans, the marathon stage, in which cyclists must fend for themselves and will not have external help or the usual comforts; or the navigation sections, in which there will be no marked route and the Titans themselves will have to design their track.

FROM THE ATLAS TO THE DESERT

The first two stages will highlight the mountainous nature of this edition. The first day will consist of a loop around Boumalne Dades: 98 kilometers and more than 2,000 meters of elevation gain. It will also be the stage of the Škoda Challenge, a 4.5-kilometer timed climb that will reward the fastest male and female competitors with a 60-second bonus in the GC.

The second day will also be at high altitude, although somewhat less demanding. More than 100 kilometers and 1,500 meters of elevation gain until reaching the first camp of the race. The third stage, the first sector of the marathon stage, will also start from there. A day of desert landscapes, with large plains and palm groves.

And so we come to the fourth stage, which is sure to be the queen stage of this edition of the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco. More than 120 kilometers and an unprecedented route through the desert, with climbs and toughness. A stage that is well known to motor enthusiasts in the area, but which will be completely new to the Titans.

SURPRISES UNTIL THE END

The grand finale will include a fifth day with the classic dune stretch, which will also feature a navigation section of several kilometers. Finally, the sixth stage will end with the historic arrival in the town of Maadid, but for an unprecedented route never seen before in the Škoda Titan Desert Morocco.

A tough race, full of contrasts and surprises for both rookie and veteran Titans. That’s what the 2026 Škoda Titan Desert Morocco will be like, a race that, more than two decades later, continues to find room for new experiences.
